In cooperation with the Northwest Educational Council for Student Success (NECSS), around 450 students from over a dozen area schools attended a “Future Educators Conference” at Harper College in Palatine Wednesday, Jan. 25.
5,000 students in the Greater Peoria area are attending the CareerSpark You’re Hired, a multi-industry career hiring fair event which launched virtually February 2, 2023 and will continue through June 19, 2023. This on-demand expo for high school students provides numerous exhibits showcasing our region’s diverse companies in healthcare, manufacturing, business, agriculture and more.
This year, 56 students are participating, with 20 employers hosting students, doubling the participation from last year for both students and employers.

In 2022, the Success Network expanded its reach and impact through thoughtful convenings, engagement with students, new supports and funding opportunities for Leadership Communities, and the launch of a new policy committee.
At the first meeting of the Success Network Policy Committee, topics included Illinois Report Card data, key policy changes from 2022, and a discussion of policy priorities and promising local practices.
