Innovate Springfield, the intermediary organization for the Sangamon County Continuum of Learning, is now a unit of the University of Illinois Springfield and has been named as the first hub of the statewide Illinois Innovation Network.
With the transition to a university-led incubator, Innovate Springfield will gain from and contribute to the collective knowledge of all of the University of Illinois campuses in ways that will advance their work incubating new businesses to grow the economy today and high-impact social innovations that build the workforce needed for tomorrow. This will continue to include the work of the Sangamon County Continuum of Learning, a cross-sector collaboration dedicated to increasing educational attainment of less-advantaged youth in Sangamon County from cradle to career through evidence-based programming.
